I, for one, am sure glad that the cover for the Karate Kid DVD box set here in Japan made sure to prominently feature Ralph Macchio getting his sorry ass beat by the Evil Karate gang. Nothing like capturing the essense of your story’s hero for the sake of selling product, eh? Let’s compare the US cover art with Japan’s for a moment.
